Site overview
Every site has its own management page at /sites/{id}. This is where you control everything about that specific site — content, settings, domains, security, and more.

Content
The Content section is where you build and manage what visitors see.
Pages
Create and edit static HTML pages. Each page has a URL slug, title, and body. You can write raw HTML or use the visual editor. Pages are served at https://yoursite.wapka.site/page-slug.
Code Studio
A browser-based code editor for Lua scripts, widgets, and server-side logic. This is the heart of a Lua-powered site. Your init script runs on every request.
Forums
Create discussion boards with categories, threads, and replies. You can set moderation rules, user permissions, and spam filters.
Messages
A built-in messaging system for site members. Useful for contact forms, support tickets, or private communication.
Dataset
Browse and manage your site's NoSQL database collections. Create documents, run queries, and set permissions — all from the browser.
Files
Upload and organize public assets: images, CSS, JavaScript, fonts, and downloads. Files are served directly from your site domain.

Configuration
The Configuration section controls how your site behaves.
Settings
- General — site title, description, category, timezone, favicon
- Engine — switch between TAG, Lua, and Native App
- API & Access — enable JWT authentication, guest impersonation, CORS
- Error Pages — custom 404 and 403 HTML pages
- Rewrites — URL redirect and rewrite rules
Domains
- View your free subdomain (
yoursite.wapka.site) - Add custom domains and subdomains
- Enable auto-SSL (free HTTPS certificate)
- Configure DNS records
Variables
Store key-value pairs accessible from Lua scripts and templates. Useful for API keys, feature flags, and configuration that changes between environments.
Templates
Manage Smarty template files for Lua-powered sites. Upload .tpl files and reference them from your Lua scripts.
Apps
Install, update, and remove Native Apps (blog, forum, store). Each app has its own settings panel.
Security & Users
Access Control
- Methods — restrict which HTTP methods are allowed (GET, POST, etc.)
- IP Rules — whitelist or blacklist IP addresses
- API Keys — generate keys for external integrations
- Rate Limits — throttle requests per IP or user
- Groups — create permission groups for site members
Users
Manage site members and their permission levels (0–10). Level 10 is admin, 0 is basic access. You can create users manually or let visitors register.
Legacy
Wapka has been around for a long time, and some older tools are still available:
- Web Panel — the legacy control panel at
web.wapka.org - Themes — classic visual theme editor
- File Manager (legacy) — older file browser
These still work, but new features are added to the modern dashboard first.
Danger Zone
At the bottom of the Site Overview you find the delete option. Deleting a site removes all its files, database collections, pages, and settings. This action cannot be undone.
Tip: Before making major changes, export your dataset or download your files as a backup.
